The Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) 2026 concluded last week in Orlando, transforming the Orange County Convention Center into the epicenter of bathroom and kitchen design innovation. The annual event, North America’s largest kitchen and bath trade show, drew thousands of industry professionals to experience the latest products, trends, and technologies.

This year’s Best Booth Awards, announced during the NEXTStage awards ceremony, recognized outstanding exhibitor creativity across multiple categories. Judges evaluated design aesthetic, visual impact, product presentation, innovation, functionality, and community impact.

TOP HONORS: KOHLER TAKES BEST IN SHOW

Kohler claimed the prestigious Best in Show Booth award, recognized for creating an immersive sensory experience that transported attendees through thoughtful ambience and engineering mastery.

The company also won Best Plumbing Booth, reinforcing its leadership position in bathroom fixture and vanity design. Judges praised Kohler’s ability to showcase how “artistry, innovation, and craftsmanship” converge in modern bathroom products.

CABINETRY EXCELLENCE: PLAIN & FANCY CUSTOM CABINETRY

Plain & Fancy Custom Cabinetry earned dual recognition, winning both Best Large Booth and Best Cabinetry Booth awards. Their exhibit demonstrated how custom cabinetry can balance traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design sensibilities.

The company’s booth reflected the industry-wide shift toward warmer materials and personalized storage solutions, with judges noting the “feats of engineering” that distinguished their presentation.

BEYOND THE BOOTHS: C.NEXT DESIGNERS SUMMIT

Prior to KBIS, design leaders gathered in Cancún for C.Next Designers 2026, Cosentino’s fifth annual summit dedicated to fostering dialogue and collaboration within the design community. NKBA served as a presenting partner for the event, which featured panels on wellness, color psychology, and the evolving role of design.

Notable sessions included:

The summit brought together brands including Kohler, Lutron, Sunbrella, and Feeney, with media partners including Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, Interior Design, and Business of Home amplifying the conversations.
